Arabic Calligraphy for Children in a Workshop at the BA

The BA Research and Publishing Unit, Calligraphy Center is organizing a workshop to teach Arabic calligraphy for children (9-14 years), during the end of year holiday, to promote children’s artistic taste and creativity.
Dr. Khaled Azab, Deputy Director, Calligraphy Center, stated that the workshop aims at improving children’s and young people’s calligraphy skills. The workshop will include visits to archaeological mosques to review masterpieces of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to tours of the BA Antiquities Museum.
Dr. Azab added that the workshop will begin on 16 June 2008, and will be held on Sunday and Wednesday, every week at the BA Children’s Library, and on Monday and Tuesday at the Young Peoples’ Library.
