Workshops on Patents and Intellectual Property Rights at the BA

Alexandria— The BA, in cooperation with the International Development Law Organization, is organizing two training workshops entitled “Patents…Their Importance and Impact on Developing Countries” , 13-15 December 2008 and “Intellectual Property and the Digital Age”, 20-22 December 2008.

A distinct group of experts specialized in intellectual property issues, as well as international negotiations will give the training workshops. The Workshops target legal and judiciary professionals, academics and researchers in the field of libraries, information technology engineers, and those interested in intellectual property matters.

The Workshops are designed to suit junior and middle experts in this field. Speakers will explain the basic principles and then go into more precise and complex details. The Workshops will focus on practical application, and will include discussions and examples of cases that were brought before court.
