The BA organizes the Ecclesiastical Spirituality Exhibition

The BA Arts Center, will organize an exhibition entitled “Ecclesiastical Spirituality” for the talented artists Xenia Nikolskaya and Sherif Sonbol, during the period from 18 December 2008 to 4 January 2009. The exhibition features a selection of their productions.
Xenia Nikolskaya is a Russian photographer and member of the Russian Art Union since 2001. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts , Copenhagen 1997, and graduated from the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg in 1998. Nikolskaya has taught photography in a number of places around the world and currently works at the Russian Institute for Egyptology in Cairo, among other places. Her works have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions in Russia and Croatia.
Sherif Sonbol is a very talented Egyptian photographer who gained national and international acclaim for his impressive works. He was the first Egyptian photographer to produce a picture book, Mulid and he was named in a magazine survey (Nisf El-Dunya) , as one of Egypt's 30 most important photographers in the history of photography.
He currently works as Chief Photographer for Al-Ahram Weekly as well as Chief Photographer for the Cairo Opera House.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, 18 December 2008 at 19.00 hrs. at the BACC West Exhibition Hall.
