An Agreement between the BA and the Coptic Monuments Association

Alexandria— The BA, represented by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, and the Coptic Monuments Association, directed by Engineer Youssef Boutros Ghali, have recently signed a memorandum of cooperation to spread awareness on Coptic monuments among the public.
Dr. Serageldin said that the memorandum aims at achieving cultural and educational targets, digitally archiving the publications of the association, as well as coordinating efforts and cooperating with several international organizations and entities to fund joint research and field research projects related to Coptic monuments.
The memorandum stipulated that cooperation should be extended between the BA Calligraphy Center and the Association to highlight the intellectual production of the two institutions. The memorandum also called for collaboration between the BA and the association in studies and research serving their common goals, especially in the fields of Coptic language, inscriptions, monuments, history and art. According to the agreement, The BA will also contribute in creating a digital archive of the publications of the Coptic Monuments Association, including books, scientific magazines, microfilms, in addition to microfiche and making them available on the BA Calligraphy Center website on the Internet.
