Professor Mostafa Elsayed in a Lecture at the BA

Alexandria— The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is organizing a lecture entitled “Nanotechnology Science” by eminent Professor Mostafa Elsayed on Sunday, 29 March 2009. Dr. Elsayed will speak about Nanoscience and the properties of nanometer materials. He will also discuss Nanotechnology and the potential use of Nanoparticles in different fields such as medicine.
Julius Brown Chair and Regents Professor, and Director of the Laser Dynamics Laboratory in the United States of America, Professor Elsayed has been granted numerous prestigious awards as a recognition of his outstanding scientific research, including the 2007 US National Medal of Science from US President Goerge W. Bush and the 2009 Order of the Republic of First Class from Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. He was also announced to be the recipient of the 2009 Ahmed Zewail Prize in Molecular Sciences. Professor Elsayed is an elected member of the US National Academy of Sciences; elected fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Science (AAAS), and the American Physical Society; and an associate member of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS).
The Lecture will start at 10:00 am at the BACC Great Hall.
