Launching the World AIDS Day Campaign 2009

Alexandria— The World Bank Public Information Center (PIC)- the BA Depository Library, and the Egyptian Aids Society, in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health, organize a public press conference on Thursday, 29 October 2009, to brainstorm and set an action plan for the World AIDS Day, celebrated annually on the first of December.
The Meeting aims at fostering the role of media as partner in AIDS awareness campaigns, and putting an end to the discrimination exercised against AIDS patients. The Meeting is attended by civil society members and media people, in addition to representatives of local and international entities.
The World AIDS Day is an international annually celebrated event, dedicated to raising awareness about the AIDS pandemic through a variety of events.
