The PSC Observes Solar Eclipse over Alexandria

The Planetarium Science Center (PSC), will observe on Friday, 15 January 2010, a partial solar eclipse, which will be visible in the skies of Egypt.
Celebrating this celestial spectacle, the PSC invites the public to participate in observing the eclipse from the BA Plaza. PSC astronomers will offer views to the participants through special optical instruments.
Observation begins at 7:00 a.m. Following the observation, PSC Senior Astronomy Specialist, Aymen Ibrahem, will conduct a lecture titled “Eclipses of the Sun and the Moon”. The lecture presents intriguing facts on eclipses and the nature and characteristics of the Sun and the Moon.
