The BA at the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace

Alexandria—The BA participates in the “Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace” held from 26 to 28 January 2010 at the Egyptian Capital, as one of the official partners.

Held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Prime Minister of Egypt, the Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace is a platform for science and innovation stakeholders from European and Mediterranean countries to meet and develop innovative business projects and partnerships.

The three day event will include a research forum with various plenary sessions, debates, and presentations delivered by key political players, scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors and business people to address issues of interest to the scientific and industrial regional community.

An Exhibition will also be held offering direct contact with main players from the public and private sector as well as clients of the research and innovation world.

Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, gave a keynote speech on Tuesday, 26 January 2010, in a session entitled “Science Communications: Challenges and Opportunities for the Euro-Mediterranean”.
