Women Emancipation in Cairo Salon

The weekly Cairo Salon TV show, presented by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, dedicates a special episode to the issue of women emancipation. The episode will be aired on Friday, 19 March 2010, at 20:00 hrs, on Egyptian TV Channel One, on the occasion of the International Women’s Day and the Egyptian Women’s Day.
Serageldin hosts Dr. Mona Abu Zeid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, and Dr. Ammar El-Taliby, Professor of Islamic Philosophy. The episode tackles women’s emancipation movement that called for regaining women rights and uprooting male chauvinism.
