The First Poetry Reading Session at the BA

The Reference Services Unit is holding its first monthly Poetry Reading on Thursday, 1 July 2010. Participants will read “Al-Atlal” (The Ruins) by Ibrahim Nagy.
These readings are organized following the success of the play readings, and in response to the audience’s increasing interest in poetry.
These readings aim to introduce significant literary works to the public in an attractive way. In the play reading sessions, each character is played by a participant, and then they all sit together reading the play after role distribution. The poetry reading sessions will focus on poetry recital, and will discuss the social context of each poem.
The session starts at 17:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
