The Narrative Review Series Holds a Short Story Contest
Posted on
The Narrative Review, held at the BA, launched a Short Story Contest, in an aim to nurture the literary movement, and support young talents.
Young Egyptians, less than 35 years old, can participate with only one short story. Winners will receive financial awards and certificates of recognition in a ceremony to be held later at the BA.
Works should be sent to Writer Mounir Oteiba, the Narrative Review Coordinator, on sardeyat@yahoo.com till the end of September 2010, along with the writer’s CV, personal photo, and copy of the ID.
It is worth mentioning that the Narrative Review is a series of workshops held every Tuesday at the BA. The reviews seek to nurture writing skills of young Alexandrian authors, build networks between writers from different generations, and launch an active critique movement that would build bridges between critics in Alexandria, Egypt and the Arab world at large.
