Book Launch of the English Translation of The Legal Response to Terrorism at the BA

The BA holds on Wednesday, 3 August 2010, a ceremony on the occasion of launching the English translation of The Legal Response to Terrorism, attended by its author Dr. Ahmad Fathi Sorour, President of the Egyptian People's Assembly, and Professor of Criminal Law.
The Ceremony includes a press conference and a documentary on Dr. Sorour. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will give a short speech, followed by a lecture by Sorour about the reasons why he wrote this book, and its contributions in setting the legal framework for combating terrorism, based on the principle “terrorism should be faced by justice”.
Dr. Sorour has been the President of the Egyptian People's Assembly since 1991. He was the Minister of Education from 1986 to 1990. He also served as the Head of Higher Council of Universities, Deputy Head of Cairo University, and Dean of its Faculty of Law.
