The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) holds a documentary exhibition entitled “Palestine 1948: Remembering a Past Homeland” from 19 August to 9 October 2010.
The Exhibition will be inaugurated by Ambassador Barakat El-Farra, Ambassador of Palestine to Egypt, and Mr. Gamal El-Gamal, Consul of Palestine in Alexandria, on Thursday 19 August 2010.
Organized by Tropen Museum in Amsterdam, in collaboration with the Nakba Archive in Beirut, the Exhibition narrates the history of the region, and the controversial event of the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948.
It is also concerned with the memories of Palestinians in 1948, when thousands of them were forced to leave their homes, 400 villages were destroyed, 11 cities were evacuated and refugees had to resort to neighboring Arab countries.
The Exhibition is held in the BACC West Exhibitions Hall, and is open for public for free.
