The Ninth IANYS Global Conference at the BA

In partnership with the Innovations in Civic Participation (ICP), the John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement at the American University in Cairo (AUC), the BA hosts the Ninth Global Conference of the International Association for National Youth Service (IANYS) from 25 to 27 October 2010.
Held every two years in a different region of the world, the IANYS Global Conference serves as a stimulating forum to share information and current developments in the field, nurture connections for developing future projects, and discuss the potentials for maximizing the impact of national youth service on community and youth development.
The Conference explores the connection between youth civic engagement and issues such as youth employability, national development, peace building and regional co-operation and other matters of local, regional and national concern.
