The BA, in cooperation with the Arab Thought Forum, organizes the Fourth Youth Conference entitled “Youth and Violence” from 13 to 15 December 2010. The Conference is held under the auspices of HRH Prince El-Hassan bin Talal, with representatives from 10 Arab countries.
The Conference aims to discuss violence as a phenomena threatening progress and development. Hindering youth from contributing to the welfare of their societies, this growing phenomena also shakes the code of ethics and values in societies. As a result, the Conference seeks to explore the causes of such phenomena, raise awareness about its risks and suggest solutions.
Eminent speakers, specialists and youth participate in the 3-day conference, in which they will discuss several themes namely: domestic and social violence; poverty, unemployment , marginalization and exclusion; smoking, drugs and sexual diseases; psychological health and the culture of fear; employing technology in combating violence; communication, networking, and media; and finally youth, citizenship, identity and culture.
