“I Exist” Seminar for Breast Cancer Awareness at the BA

The General Collections and Services Department at the BA, in cooperation with Nureed Hayat Association, organized “I Exist” seminar on Breast Cancer awareness, as part of the “Patient’s Journey” series of events and coinciding with October, the month of Breast Cancer awareness.
The seminar included a number of interviews with doctors, patients and their caregivers from relatives and friends in order to consolidate the culture of dealing with patients of Breast Cancer and highlight the methods of supporting them. It was accompanied by a display and discussion of the most important books and references on the subject, which are part of the BA’s main collection.
The event is the second in the “Patient’s Journey” series organized by the General Collections and Services Department, which aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by cancer patients. It comes after the success of the first event “Coexisting with Leukemia” that was held last September.
