Alexandria International Model United Nations (AIMUN) 2012

The BA Depository Library, in cooperation with the World Bank Public Information Center (PIC), and the Alexandria Youth Employment Summit (YES), organizes the Alexandria International Model of United Nations (AIMUN) from 4 July to 25 August 2012.
AIMUN is a student-to-student activity, a simulation of the United Nations’ different organs and other multilateral bodies where students develop and practice different skills, namely research, organization, writing, debating, lobbying, negotiation, cooperation and compromise.
Having been the first UN simulation to be held in Alexandria, AIMUN aims at introducing Alexandrian students to the UN experience, raise youth awareness about development issues as well as the UN Millennium Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), in addition to helping youth develop their interpersonal skills.
