A Series of Events on the Danish Writer Karen Blixen

The BA, in collaboration with the Embassy of Denmark in Cairo, organizes a commemorative exhibition on the Danish Writer Karen Blixen (1885-1962) who spent many years in Kenya, East Africa.
The Exhibition is held from 20 to 29 November 2012 at the BA Main Library, B1 level. Banners and texts on the writer’s biography and works will be displayed in the exhibition, in addition to a documentary film and some of her writings.
The exhibition will be accompanied by film screenings of Babette’s Feast on Tuesday, 20 November 2012 at 4:00 pm, and Out of Africa on Thursday, 22 November 2012 at 3:00 pm, both at the Main Library Auditorium. Selected readings from Out of Africa in Arabic and English will also take place on Thursday, 22 November 2012, at 6:00 pm in the exhibition area in the Main Library (level B1).
