Award-Giving Ceremony of the Fourth Arabic Calligraphy Competition

The BA Calligraphy Center holds the Award-Giving Ceremony of the Fourth Arabic Calligraphy Competition for the Students of Alexandria’s Schools on 18 December 2012, marking the World Arabic Language Day-- the date on which the UN General Assembly designated Arabic as the sixth official language of the United Nations.
The ceremony is held in cooperation with the Ministry of Education Directorate in Alexandria. About 121 students participated in this competition, with 23 winners from the three stages (primary, preparatory and secondary) .
This annual competition aims to nurture talents in different calligraphy and writing styles.
The ceremony is held at the BACC Lecture Hall at 10:00 am.
