8th International Colloquium for the History of Science: Untrodden Areas in the History of Arabic Science

The Manuscripts Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosts the 8th International Colloquium for the History of Science: Untrodden Areas in the History of Arabic Science, 28-30 September 2004. The colloquium is jointly organized by the BA and the Institute for the History of Arabic Science (Aleppo University, Syria).
The conference will host world specialists in the fields pertaining to the history of Arabic science and its impact on the development of human knowledge. It will highlight the untrodden areas in the history of Arabic science with the thematic focus on: unpublished Arabic Scientific manuscripts, unknown Arab scientists, the Arabic scientific output in Egypt and Al-Sham, the history of medical and pharmacological sciences, the history of basic and applied sciences, as well as the history of urbanization and architecture.
