Aerospace and Automotive Technology Symposium at BA

Alexandria, 18 January 2005—The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) in cooperation with the Mechanical Department, Faculty of Engineering, is organizing the Aerospace and Automotive Technology Symposium on 19 January 2005. The symposium discusses aerospace and automotive design technology.
Engineer Hoda El Mikaty, Deputy Director of the Planetarium Science Center, announced that the symposium will feature university professors and specialists. Among them is Professor Mohamed A. Hassab, Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Alexandria University and Mr. Michael Balke, Plant Manager of the Egyptian-German Automotive Company.
Professor Mohsen Osman, Professor of Automotive Engineering, Alexandria University, will give a lecture on the use of laser technology in the diesel motor industry.
Professor Ralph Haycock, Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Utah State University, will provide the audience with an overview of the research projects undertaken in the Space Dynamics Laboratory of Utah State University. In addition, he will shed light on research performed to enhance economic fuel consumption, as well as on the “Monoplace” car as a solution for transportation challenges faced in Egypt.
The symposium will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Auditorium, at the Main Library entrance.
