Abu Hashima in an Open Discussion with High School Students

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina held an open discussion between high school students and businessman and trustee of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, Mr. Ahmed Abu Hashima, during the first session of the BA eighteenth annual conference "Sketch Your Future", which runs until 30 July.

The session was attended by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat and Executive Director of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work; Dr. Marwa El-Wakeel, Head of the BA Academic Research Sector; and a host of faculty deans and more than 1700 high school students, in addition to thousands watching live broadcasts on social media platforms.

Abu Hashima discussed his early beginnings, the difficulties and challenges he has faced since he was a high school student and how he was able to overcome them, and his experience in choosing the college he desired.

He also stressed the need for continuous learning and self-development that should go hand in hand with academic learning, in order to keep pace with the rapid technological development.

In addition, he commented on the details of the Startup-Power competition launched by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), in cooperation with Ahmed Abu Hashima Foundation, noting that the foundation has provided from 40 to 50 million pounds for small and micro enterprises. He stated that these projects have succeeded due to the creativity and innovations of young people.

At the end of the session, Dr. Ahmed Zayed presented Abu Hashima with a BA souvenir.
