Conference: "The Role of Digital Transformation and AI Applications in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab Region (MENA)"

The BA Library Sector is sponsoring an international conference entitled "The Role of Digital Transformation and AI Applications in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab Region (MENA)", in cooperation with the Arab Institution of Knowledge Management (AIKM) and the IFLA Regional Division Committee for the Middle East and North Africa (IFLA-MENA), on 2 and 3 September 2024. A specialized workshop, entitled "Measuring and Evaluating the Impact of Libraries on Society”, will be held on 1 September, on the sidelines of the conference.

The conference aims to examine the digital transformation in information institutions and its role in achieving sustainable development goals, as well as the impact of modern artificial intelligence applications on information institutions in the Arab region.

The event features more than 220 participants, representing 16 Arab countries, namely Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine.
