The BA Art Exhibitions and Collections Department is pleased to announce its call for application for the 18th round of the Agenda Exhibition (Square Meter: a Free Space for Creativity).
Artists can participate in any of the visual arts fields (photography, sculpture, engraving, photography, mosaics, ceramics, digital art), provided that the works have not been previously displayed in any exhibition at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
The displayed two-dimensional work space should not exceed one meter in length and width, including the frame (one piece or divided depending on the artist's vision), and the three-dimensional work space should not exceed one meter in length, width and height, including the work base (one piece or divided depending on the artist's vision).
Applications should be submitted online through the official BA website no later than Sunday, 8 December 2024: https://www.bibalex.org/agenda2025
The works will be reviewed by the BA Specialized Art Committee, which will decide what aligns with the concept of the exhibition. The committee's opinion is final.
Only accepted candidates will be notified.
The work and personal photos should be uploaded to the electronic form, provided that they are in high resolution and are not less than DPI 300 for the photo. The photo size should not be less than 1 MB in the case of the personal photo and 2 MB in the case of the work photo in order to be suitable for exhibition publications.
The two-dimensional work should be clearly photographed with the frame, if available.
The three-dimensional work should be photographed from all sides against a plain background.
The artwork must be complete when added to the form.
Each participant must review the rules and conditions of participation, and abide by what is stated therein, especially the date specified for registration on the application form and the date of work submission, together with the conditions that should exist in the work.
Artists receive works within two weeks of the end of the exhibition, in order to ensure the safety of the work. The Library is not responsible for works that were not received within the above-mentioned period.
Important Notes:
- Forms that do not meet all the required conditions, particularly the items marked with an asterisk, will not be accepted.
- The form should be filled out electronically. A confirmation email will be sent to all applicants.
- Artists can modify the registration form until the dateline.
- Filling out the form is considered an acknowledgment by the artist of the authenticity of his artwork and his full responsibility for it.
