Seminar: Do Mediterranean Countries form a Cultural Unity despite their Historical Diversity?

Alexandria, 7 February 2005—The Philosophy and Theology Committee, one of the Subject Specialist Committees at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), is organizing a seminar entitled Do Mediterranean Countries form a Cultural Unity despite their Historical Diversity?, on 8 February 2005.
Prof. Youhana Kolta, Vice Patriarch in Egypt and former Lecturer of Philosophy at the American University in Cairo; and Prof. Zeinab El Khodeiry, Professor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, are among the speakers.
The seminar will discuss the different Mediterranean cultures, as it is known that civilizations of the Mediterranean Basin included various languages, religions and ways of thinking across their successive historical ages despite the fact that the Mediterranean itself formed a link between these civilizations.
The seminar will begin at 7:00 pm at the BA Auditorium.
