“Water and Sanitation in Africa and the Middle East” Conference

The Arab Regional Office of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS- ARO), hosted at the BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP), holds the "Water and Sanitation in Africa and the Middle East" Conference on 28 and 29 October 2013.
 

The main objective of the Conference is to build capacity and awareness on water and sanitation issues in Africa and the Middle East, and to propose solutions to existing barriers to address these issues. It will bring together researchers, policy makers and practitioners in Africa and the Middle East with the intention of fostering closer working relationships and collaborations among them.
 

The Conference will examine, discuss and distil learning points from presentations on water and sanitation by holding poster sessions. The focus will be on practical solutions and real-life examples of functional systems, and include community, institutional, financial and technical aspects.
 

Registration deadline is 22 October 2013.
 

Registration fees are 150 L.E. for academia, and 100 L.E. for students.
 

Group registration (groups of 5) fees are 100 L.E./person for academia, and 50 L.E./person for students.
 

Fees include the Conference material, and coffee breaks and lunch breaks as per the program.
