Visit by an Italian delegation

Alexandria, 15 March 2005—An Italian delegation headed by Ms. Chiara Rabitti, Director of the Italian cultural foundation, Fondazione Querini Stampalia, visited the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), on 14 March 2005. Accompanied by Ambassador Taher Khalifa, Head of the External Sector at BA, the delegation toured BA and its affiliated museums, exhibitions, and research centers. They were also introduced to the services provided to its visitors.
During the visit, Ms. Rabitti presented BA with a valuable manuscript on the art of sewing.
Fondazione Querini Stampalia is comprised of a library, a museum and an exhibition space. The foundation is housed in Palazzo Querini Stampalia, one of the most interesting artistic complexes of Venice.
