Cultural diversity in Andalusia explored at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Alexandria, 27 March 2005—Cultural diversity in Andalusia was the topic of a workshop held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), 24-25 March 2005, and organized by the Language Studies and Literature Committee, an advisory committee at BA.
Among the issues discussed over the course of the two days, were the different cultures of Andalusia, their interaction, and the dialogue between religions present during that time.
Participants in the workshop included a number of literature and history scholars and intellectuals from Cairo and Alexandria universities, among them were Professor Mostafa El Abbadi, Professor of Greco-Roman History, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, Professor Ahmed Etman, Professor of Greek and Latin Literature, Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, and Professor Laila Abul Magd, Professor of Literature, Ain Shams University.
