Celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Mahmoud Reda

Alexandria, 17 April 2005—On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the folklore artist, Mahmoud Reda, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center is organizing a cultural program that includes dance performances, films and a photo exhibition, 22-24 April 2005.
The first day, 22 April, will witness the inauguration of the photo exhibition of Mahmoud Reda’s works, that will continue till 30 April; followed by the performance by “El Wahag” troupe.
A round-table discussion, 23 April, will explore the life of Mahmoud Reda. It will be followed by the films, Haramy El Waraka and Gharam Fil Karnak.
Mahmoud Reda will head a seminar on 24 April, where he will narrate his life’s journey. This will be preceded by a screening of the film Agazet Nesf Al Sana.
