Second day of Einstein Symposium

Alexandria, 5 June 2005—The exploration of the wonders of physics continued for the second day at the Einstein Symposium. The day, comprising four plenary sessions discussed several topics, ranging from the documentation of Einstein’s life and work to quantum spacetime physics.

Eminent physicists, participating in the Public Forum, also shed light on “The Secret of Einstein’s Genius, can it help us find the Unified Field Theory”, “Organization, Brownian Motion and Nano-particles”, “Strings-playing instruments in Einstein"s Universe”, and “The Arrow of time”, among other topics.

The day’s highlights included the film “Einstein’s Cosmological Constant, as told by Simon Singh” touching upon Einstein and his theories. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, also announced the extension of the deadline for participation in the BA Scientific Contest, for under- and post-graduates in any scientific field.

A Poster Session was held alongside the Public Forum and closed Scientific Meetings, in the West Exhibition Hall at the BA Conference Center.
