Wastawy at the IV International Conference on University Libraries

Alexandria, 27 October 2005—Dr. Sohair Wastawy, Head of the Library Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), is representing the BA in the IV International Conference on University Libraries, taking place in Mexico City, 27-28 October 2005. The conference focuses on the issue of emerging libraries in today’s university life. Dr. Wastawy will present a lecture entitled "Library Buildings: Restoring the Human Touch".
Organized by the General Directorate of Libraries of the National University of Mexico, the event aims to discuss and analyze possible solutions for the renewed challenges faced by emerging libraries due to the fast evolution of information and communication technologies accompanied by the permanence of traditional media. It brings together an eminent group of specialists of national and international standing, who will explore the digital future for libraries and its impact on professional personnel development and library services.
