The First Annual Education and Employment Alliance Summit

Alexandria, 1 December 2005— The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Dialogue Forum, in collaboration with the International Youth Foundation, is organizing the First Annual Education and Employment Alliance Summit, November 30, 2005 – December 1, 2005.
This two day global Education and Employment Alliance (EEA) meeting will bring together representatives from USAID, civil society, and the corporate sector from EEA country alliances to explore and discuss the following topics: the status of EEA global and country activities; lessons learned about how to build strong and effective partnerships and alliances; promising youth education and employment initiatives from around the world; as well as the private sector involvement in youth education and employment.
The participants include Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; General Abdel Salam El-Mahgoub, Governor of Alexandria; Dr. Hossam Badrawy, Chairman Education Committee of the National Democratic Party; Robert Davidson, Training and Development Officer, USAID/Egypt; Iman El Kaffass – Associate Dean of Equal Opportunity & Leadership Development, AUC; and Abdallah Sobeih, representative of Youth Employment Summit.
