BA gathers Egyptian intellectuals

Alexandria, 27 December 2005— The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is hosting and organizing an annual meeting which will bring together thinkers, intellectuals, and specialists from all fields, from 29 to 30 December 2005. the attendants include Dr. Hany El Nazer, Professor of Dermatology at the NRC; the writer, Mahfouz Abdel Rahman; Mr. Emad El Shakankiry, representative of the Arab League; Ambassador Moshera Khatab; Dr. Fakhry Shousha, Former Rector Higher Institute for Agricultural Cooperation, Egypt; Ambassador Mohamed Shaker, former Ambassador of Egypt to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland; Dr. Osama El Ghazaly Harb, Shura Council member and Chief-Editor of Al Syassa Al Dawleyya; Dr, Ahmed Farag; the writer, Fatheya el Assal; and Dr. Venice Kamel Gouda former Minister of State for Scientific Research.
During the meeting Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, will introduce the attendants to the projects and achievements that took place at the BA in 2005. The projects include INFO MALL and VISTA and other accomplishments of the BA.
Closed meetings will be formed to discuss the plans for the year 2006 in fields of science, culture and arts.
