World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2006

Alexandria 26 January 2006—In Davos yesterday, 25 January, the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2006 started and will extend until 29 January 2006. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director or the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will be participating in the session "what Is the Meaning of Race and Ethnicity?". This session will also host many VIPs including the First Lady of Egypt, Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak who will also be making the closing remarks.
The Private Meetings of the C-100 will also be taking place within the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2006 under the theme of "The Creative Imperative", which reflects an emphasis on imagination and innovation, driving multi-stakeholder, collaborative approaches to resolve issues.
The Core Group agreed to present the first award to Muhammad Ali, one of the most prominent names in sports, who has also made an immense contribution to inter-faith understanding.
