Spanish donation to the BA

Alexandria, 1st February 2006— On January 29 2006, a distinguished delegation from the Spanish senate, the Spanish cultural attaché in Egypt, as well as the director of Cervantes Institute in Egypt, visited the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA).
The delegation donated a collection of books on the history and culture of Spain. In addition to the publications of the Spanish senate and a painting by the known Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616).
The delegation was received by Ambassador Taher Khalifa,
Head of The External Relation sector at the BA. He accompanied them on a tour of the BA museums, research centers, and galleries while being introduced to the services the library provides to its visitors.
