Wastawy Represents the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Taiwan

Alexandria—Dr. Sohair Wastawy, Head of the BA Library Sector, represented the BA in Taiwan during a workshop held last week on The Management and Application of Cultural Heritage on the International Level”. The workshop was attended by those interested in cultural heritage preservation and digitization, as well as digital libraries and museums specialists. The workshop agenda included the conclusion of partnerships with pioneer institutions in heritage digitization, management, and preservation to build a strong international network.
During the workshop, Dr. Wastawy presented a number of digital projects carried out by the BA different sectors and research centers including the digitization of heritage project by the BA Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (Cultnat), digital projects by the BA Manuscript Center, as well as the BA International School for Information Studies (ISIS) projects.
