The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is now operating two bookshops: one in the entrance of its Main Building (established in 2002, marking the Library’s official inauguration) and another inside the Planetarium Science Center. A new gift shop has recently been opened at the BA. The bookshops offer a variety of products, such as Egyptian handicrafts and publications released by local and international publishing houses.
