The Planetarium Science Center (PSC), in collaboration with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AAST), is holding a local robotics competition in November 2014: The Robotheca Alexandrina Olympiad (RAO).
The competition comprises two categories: the “Diver Robot” and the “Robofight”.
The competition aims to motivate students to explore their potential in engineering, IT, science, math, and project management. Participants must possess basic knowledge of electronics and programming. A panel of judges will assess the teams’ performances, and awards will be given to the top three winning teams. Awards will also be given out for the following categories: best design, best teamwork, best presentation skills, and other categories.
