This lecture will discuss the depiction of Jesus in art during the 4th–7th centuries CE.
During the persecution of the Christians, paintings of Jesus were done in secret, but as Christianity spread, depictions of Jesus in Coptic art became more elaborate.
The lecture will be presented by Dr. Doaa Bahi Aldin, a researcher at the Coptic Studies Center and a lecturer at the Alexandria University.
