According to the convention signed up between the BA and the “Petits Débrouillards” association, the librarians and the PSC staff had attended a seminar considering the creation of science books for children.
Albin Michel is a distinguished publisher in France, who has dedicated a major part of his edition work for youth “Albin Michel Jeunesse”, aiming to develop youth books in different fields of culture and knowledge.
With the “Petits Débrouillards” association, “Albin Michel Jeunesse” have created a science series, improving the understanding of science, especially for children, through simplified experiences approaching a variety of science themes.
During the seminar held at the BA (19/20 December), “Albin Michel Jeunesse” & “Petits Débrouillards” presented a detailed layout of the editing process of this kind of books, through an interaction with the BA employees, discussing the conception of science books in Egypt, its adaptation with the social environment, its publishing and distribution.
