Events

The workshop is organized by the Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies. The workshop will deal with the archaeology, history, and topography of the Hellenistic Roman sites in Beheira. Three research papers on the recent works of the Italian mission in Beheira will be reviewed and discussed. Several speakers will also discuss different discoveries made in major sites and will examine the relationship between Beheira and Alexandria in antiquity. The center will also host members of the Italian Archaeological Mission and the Inspectors of the Supreme Council of Antiquities’ office in Beheira.
