The BA Sinnari House (Cairo), in collaboration with The Center For Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CultNat), is organizing a seminar titled “Archeologically and Touristically Unutilized Islamic Monuments at the Saladin Citadel”. The lecturers will include Dr. Mohmed Arafa, consultant at CILTNAT and general director of the bureau of the documentation of historical monuments in Cairo and Giza; and Dr. Mohamed Hamdy, professor of Islamic archaeology at the Faculty of Archeology, Aswan University. The seminar will focus on the importance of reviving the architectural and urban heritage of the Saladin Citadel—one of the most prominent Islamic monuments in Cairo—and will discuss methods of securing, utilizing it, and making the most out of it in archeological and touristic purposes.
