On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of his death, the BA, which established an exhibition dedicated to his works, is organizing a lecture in commemoration of Egyptian director Shadi Abdel Salam. The seminar will be led by writer Salwa Bakr to discuss Shadi Abdel Salam as an exceptional director, as well as his work as a screenwriter, set designer, costume designer, painter, photographer, and architect.
Abdel Salam is known to have worked on multi-award winning international films, such as Cleopatra by American director Joseph L. Mankiewicz, and Pharoah by Polish director Jerzy Kawalerowicz.
The lecture will be followed by a screening of director Shadi Abdel Salam's film The Mummy.
