This lecture is organized by the BA Center for Islamic Civilization Studies in cooperation with the Tour Guides Syndicate. Delivered by Dr. Ahmed el-Shoky, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo, the lecture will discuss the restoration of the Museum’s artifacts ahead of its reopening. It will also present the masterpieces of Islamic artifacts in the museum, including ceramics, textiles, rugs, and metals that are adorned with Islamic ornamentations inspired by geometry, botany, and calligraphy, among other artifacts of different shapes and colors.
