Site seeing is the main type of incoming tourism to Egypt which depends on Egyptian monuments, especially that of ancient eras. However, a new orientation of tourism is emerging nowadays, that is backstage tourism, which main concern is humane aspects of culture: traditions, costumes, ways of life, and people's experiences.
The High Institute for Tourism, Hotels, and Computer in cooperation with Institute of Alexandrian and Mediterranean studies, BA are organizing a workshop to discuss Backstage Tourism, and to describe the new orientation, effects and requirements.
