The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in collaboration with Senghor University and “icealex” innovation hub, is organizing a special edition of the international forum “The Future Belongs to Africa.” This year’s edition, titled “A Field of Career Opportunities,” will take place on Wednesday, 22 April, at Senghor University’s new campus in Borg El Arab.

This significant event is organized as part of joint efforts aimed at supporting African youth and empowering them to face the challenges of the changing job market, as well as fostering opportunities for collaboration between the academic and professional sectors, with the participation of a select group of academic institutions, experts, and innovation leaders from across the African continent.

This edition builds on the successes of previous forums, offering a dynamic platform that brings together students, graduates, and young professionals, alongside education and training institutions and innovation experts, thereby contributing to the creation of a stimulating environment for knowledge exchange and the building of effective partnerships.

This year’s forum focuses on empowering young people to adapt to the rapid transformations the world is witnessing, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital entrepreneurship, and modern learning models. It also seeks to bridge the gap between education and the job market through workshops showcasing innovative models and practical solutions that enhance employability and develop professional skills in the fields of entrepreneurship, freelance work, and employment.

This edition features a diverse range of events, including an opening session, presentations by representatives of participating companies, and capacity-building workshops, as well as spaces for career counseling and a fair for participating companies, alongside interactive and recreational activities that enhance the participants’ experience.

The forum targets a broad segment of young people, including university students, recent graduates, job seekers, interns, and early-career individuals, as well as freelancers and emerging entrepreneurs.

This year’s edition represents a unique opportunity for institutions and companies to strengthen their presence, connect with young talent, showcase their expertise, and build strategic partnerships, as well as support human development efforts on the continent. The organizers have stated that this initiative is part of a broader vision aimed at preparing a new generation of leaders and innovators capable of shaping Africa’s future and contributing to sustainable and comprehensive development.
