The Peace Movement (15 and 16 February)

Alexandria—The Peace Studies Institute which is a joint venture of the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will be launched on the 15th and 16th of February, 2006. The Institute will focus on research and training, preparing material and case studies, and helping the Movement set grounds to its actions with well-researched and well-studied material, and promote the culture of peace, enhance human security as well as expand the role of women and young people in the process of peace building.
The Institute is in pursuit of forming new partnerships, on the regional and international levels. The first of which is the collaboration with The University for Peace in Costa Rica. Three Nobel laureates will be joining the many renowned personalities attending this launch.
