The BA Celebrates the Conception of the Armenian Alphabets

Alexandria, 7 February 2006— On the occasion of the 1600th anniversary on the creation of Armani Alphabets, the BA, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Armenian Republic in Cairo, is organizing a celebration and an exhibition on the Armenian Alphabets, inaugurated by Ambassador Taher Khalifa, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, and Dr. Rouben Karapetian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Cairo. The exhibition includes 19 Armenian manuscripts, eight of which are originals while the others are replicas.

As part of the celebration, a scientific conference entitled, “Armenian Egyptian Historical and Cultural Relations” is held at the BA on 9thof February 2006.
