Dr. Mohamed al-Baradei awarded the Nile Collar

Alexandria, 7 February 2006 — His Excellency President Hosni Mubarak has issued a decree awarding Dr. Mohamed al-Baradei, Head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the Nile Collar, the highest ranking of all Egyptian decorations. It is known to be granted exclusively to kings, heads of state and those who render great services at the national and human levels in general. The Collar was given during a formal celebration at the Presidential HQ on 7 February 2006.

During the ceremony, al-Baradei expressed his gratitude saying that being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize alongside IAEA proved that peace is not an individual achievement but rather a whole way of life, constant work and full commitment.
