This year the festivity took place on two days and included in:
Alexandria
1) a lecture: "Measuring the Earth in Ancient Times", by Denis Savoie,
Head of Astronomy and Astrophysics Department in the "Palais de Decouverte";
2) a lecture: "Measuring the Earth as a Child's Game", by Mireille Hartmann, Science Teacher and Author;
3) an Observation and a Discussion conducted by Denis Savoie; and
4) a workshop, "Pocket Sundial".

Aswan
5) a lecture: "How to Measure the Earth", by Aymen Ibrahem, PSC Senior Resident Astronomer; and
6) a visit to the ancient well on the Elephantine Island thought to be visited by Eratosthenes while working on his theory.

Both cities
7) the measuring of the Earth's Circumference applying Eratosthenes's method on 21 June; and
8) a videoconference between the participants in Alexandria, Aswan and France to compare results.
